A leading engineering organisation is looking to add an experienced Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to its Warrington team on a long-term contract. This is a senior position offering the chance to take technical ownership across multiple projects, providing leadership and direction to deliver innovative, safe, and compliant engineering solutions.
You’ll be responsible for shaping design strategies, guiding a team of engineers, and ensuring that all project outputs meet the highest technical and safety standards.
Role Responsibilities- Develop and verify technical solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead investigations and drive design improvements across projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to manage specifications and delivery
- Support project execution and mentor junior engineers
- Promote engineering excellence, health and safety, and cultural change across the business
- Working collaboratively in multi‑discipline teams across varied project types
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering systems input and providing post‑installation or third‑line technical support
- Liaising with customers and suppliers on‑site for testing, installation, and commissioning
- Background in EC&I, Physics, or Radiometric, with experience in control systems and analogue/digital electronics
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics, control and instrumentation, or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it
