Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Chemical Process Engineer in Glascoed – working arrangements to be confirmed. Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security? Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Chemical Process Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glascoed on a 12‑month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. Rate £38.25 per hour inside / Umbrella.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design and develop new production processes.
- Plan, design and execute lab experiments and pilot trials including safety paperwork (COSHH, SOP and other documentation).
- Process, analyse and interpret trial data to draw conclusions for further development.
- Problem-solve, adapt and pivot through the technical challenges of R&D.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience and competence in handling hazardous chemicals and operating in safe conditions.
- Experience in chemical process design through the entire project lifecycle.
- Experience with concept, basic and detailed design of a chemical plant.
- Experience of process hazard assessments and other technical risk assessments (including HAZOP, LOPA and Hazardous Area Classification).
