My client is seeking a skilled Nesting Engineer to join their team at a time of ambitious growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to their continued success and drive improvements in their production processes.
The Nesting Engineer will be responsible for operating RADAN and BOOST nesting software to optimise material usage and streamline production. This role involves close collaboration with various internal departments and requires a deep understanding of technical drawings and sheet metal fabrication processes. The successful candidate will focus on continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to quality procedures and health and safety protocols.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating RADAN and BOOST nesting software to create efficient nesting patterns.
- Interpreting and working with technical drawings and SolidWorks files to ensure accuracy in production.
- Liaising with internal departments, including design, engineering, and production, to align nesting processes with project requirements.
- Continuously improving products and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensuring all work complies with quality procedures and health and safety standards.
- Contributing to the programming of Trumpf or similar punch machinery, with a focus on optimising production schedules.
- Monitoring and adjusting nesting strategies based on production needs and feedback.
You:
- Proficient in operating RADAN and BOOST nesting software.
- Strong understanding of SolidWorks files and their application in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Trumpf machines and punch/fold machinery (desirable).
- Solid knowledge of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production processes (desirable).
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
