Tool Designer - BAE Systems Warton
6 positions available for 12 months, full time onsite - 4 days onsite with an early finish on Friday at 12:00.
BPSS to start with SC clearance obtained on the job. Inside IR35 - £47.12 per hour (Umbrella).
Role Description:
- Detail tool design from the development of the concept through to issue for detail products and assembly of airframe related parts.
- Proven experience of detail tool design processes - preferably within the air sector.
- Proficient in the use of CATIA V5.
- Thorough understanding of interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Knowledge and understanding of/ability to apply external and internal company standards that govern tooling activities.
- The ability to generate solutions for complex problems from concept through to actualisation.
- Ability to work with multiple teams across different engineering disciplines within the company (e.g. design, toolroom, other process development teams within FalconWorks) as well as external suppliers.
- Applicants must be comfortable with the uncertainty and volatility associated with working on an early lifecycle programme.
- Desirable knowledge and experience of internal company systems such as SAPCAMS.
