The Role
- As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:
- Design basis, material and construction specifications
- Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object) for brownfield projects.
- Perform detailed design of equipment supports, access platforms etc.
- Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies.
- The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, the client, and 3rd-party contractors, and coordinating with project team members across global offices to deliver tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
The Candidate
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design
- Minimum experience of 12 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
- Proficient user of SACS suite of software is a prerequisite.
- Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes.
