Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Pipefitter in Govan, 4 days onsite per week. Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?
Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Pipefitter to add to their talented, hardworking team in Govan on a 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity, you can ensure no two days will be the same.
Rate: £20.10 + £8.00 travel allowance PAYE non local; £26.89 + £10.47 travel allowance UMB non local; Local rates apply without additional travel allowance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure safe systems of work are carried out.
- Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities.
- Installing utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers and toilets.
- Fabricate and install pipework systems in large and small bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel).
- Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes.
Your skills and experiences:
- A sound knowledge of all pipework systems and materials including connectors, adaptors, couplings, and fastenings is essential as is the ability to braze to required standards.
