Join a world‑renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Mechanical Operator at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire on a full time onsite basis. Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Mechanical Operator to add to their talented, hardworking team in Lincolnshire on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £31.34 Umbrella per hour inside IR35.
The role:
- Ensure the effective provision of Part 145 activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.
- Understand how individual actions contribute to overall delivery performance.
- Undertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on an aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, Aircraft Ground Handling, flight servicing’s, aircraft role changes, AD embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test.
- Ensure all Part 145 activities are properly documented, with airworthiness records maintained in relevant systems (IT or paper‑based).
- Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escape as appropriate.
You:
- Requires broad and in‑depth product knowledge / competency within own technical / subject area.
- Demonstrating breadth of systems experience, currency & recency capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft or in workshops.
- 3 years relevant work experience within an aircraft maintenance environment.
