Are you an expert with SCADA systems and data acquisition, with a background in energy/renewables? If so, this may be the role for you! I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join an EPC on two UK solar farms as a specialist SCADA engineer, where you will act as an expert on SCADA and data acquisition as the sites are due to enter construction. Office space is based in Manchester; however, you will primarily work between home and visits to the two sites, one in North East England and the other in South Wales.
Role responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert on SCADA and data acquisition, along with wider EMS, BESS etc integration
- Develop standards and functional specifications for SCADA, EMS, IT/OT and cybersecurity and their wider integration
- Maintain a presence on site for FAT/SAT/commissioning activities when required
- Liaise with other engineering areas to deliver projects efficiently and on time
Experience:
- A demonstrable background in SCADA, data acquisition, and wider controls/OT systems
- Previous experience working in solar is preferable; however, exposure to other energy/renewables projects will be considered
- University degree in automation, electrical/electronic engineering, power or similar is preferred
