Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Senior Design Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Gloucester on an initial 12 months contract. The rate per hour: £40.00 - £45.00 per hour inside IR35 / umbrella
Role:
- Design and detail efficient landing gear systems for civil and military aircraft to meet demanding customer requirements
- Support the design and manufacturing of the landing gear systems
- Lead innovative mechanical design projects and ensure robust, reliable, and cost-effective solutions across the product lifecycle
Key responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of our landing gear programmes
- Support all aspects of product configuration
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with Safran's configuration management processes
- Use of up-to-date technology including computer based programmes and systems: CAD (CATIA V5 preferred), 3D Modelling, 2D Draughting, data management systems
Experience:
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes
