4 days per week on site (Monday - Thursday)

Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

£57.33 Per Hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)

The Role

  • Develop hardware design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
  • Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
  • Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including: diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications.
  • Installation of the relevant system to the design documentation ensuring all work is done safely and to all relevant standards.
  • Commissioning and setting to work of all installed test harnesses to prove correct and safe installation.
  • Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation.

The Candidate

  • Hands on installation experience is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of at least one of the following areas:
  • Instrumentation and control systems
  • Electrical circuits design, EMC precautions and power supply characteristics
  • Fieldbus technology (Profibus/Profinet)
  • Technical reports and specifications
  • Functional System Diagrams
  • System design evidence
  • Developing test procedures
  • Installation, Configuration and testing of equipment
