Overview: We are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators to support major engineering and manufacturing projects within a highly regulated heavy industrial environment. This role involves the safe movement of engineering loads, supporting vessel operations, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the shipyard while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and associated lifting equipment, supporting a range of operational activities across the yard, and working collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure project requirements are delivered efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to safely lift, transport and position engineering loads.
- Carry out lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans and procedures.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Ensure all lifting activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Interpret work instructions and operational requirements to meet customer and project specifications.
- Select and prepare appropriate lifting equipment, consumables, materials and components.
- Support vessel operations.
