Pertemps Black Country Perms seeks a Yard Operative/FLT Driver for a leading material supplier in West Bromwich. This full-time position pays £13.55 per hour, with shifts running from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Thursday, plus Friday. Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance FLT, managing customer collections, locating stock, and picking and packing orders. You will also assist the warehouse manager with daily operations and maintain a tidy, organised yard. A valid FLT counterbalance certificate and prior yard or warehouse experience are essential. Flexibility for overtime is required to ensure customer satisfaction, alongside strong customer service skills, a willingness to learn product knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

- Dealing with customer collections
- Stock location
- Picking and packing ready for customer collection
- Supporting the warehouse manager in the day to day running of the yard/warehouse
- Keeping the yard and warehouse organised and tidy
What you’ll need:
- A valid FLT counterbalance certificate and experience
- Previous yard/warehouse experience
- Flexibility as overtime may be required to ensure customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn products/product knowledge
- A good level of customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
The hours of work are 08:00am-17:00pm Monday to Thursday and 08:00am-16:00pm on Fridays paying £13.55 per hour. This will be a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.
