Pertemps Wolverhampton is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing team based in Willenhall.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering long‑term stability with a well‑established business.
The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of conveyor systems for production machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication of conveyor systems and production machinery.
- Building new conveyors and repairing existing conveyor equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Setting out materials and fabricating components to specification.
- Cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding steel components.
- Using fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
Experience Required
Applicants should be confident using and working with
- Industrial MIG welding equipment.
- Cutting and profiling machinery, including CNC plasma or laser cutters.
- Horizontal bandsaws for cutting structural steel.
- Hydraulic ironworkers for punching and shearing.
- Hydraulic press brakes for bending sheet metal.
- Plate rollers for forming curved sections.
- Basic TIG welding (advantageous but not essential).
- Drill presses and milling machines.
- Angle grinders and belt sanders for preparation and finishing.
- Measuring equipment and general fabrication tools.

- Previous experience as a MIG Welder/Fabricator.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Confident in setting out fabrication work independently.
