Pertemps Wolverhampton Industrial seeks an Industrial Cleaner for a client based in Wolverhampton (WV1). This full-time, temporary-to-permanent position offers £12.71 per hour, working 25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with 8:00am starts.
The role involves maintaining cleanliness across a manufacturing facility, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing factory floors. Responsibilities also cover cleaning machinery, production equipment, conveyors, and surrounding workspaces. Welfare areas such as offices, kitchens, and changing rooms require regular attention. Candidates should possess reliability and a thorough approach to housekeeping duties, ensuring safety standards are upheld throughout the shopfloor and production zones. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the shopfloor and production areas.
- Clean machinery, production equipment, conveyors, and surrounding workspaces.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish factory and warehouse floors.
- Clean welfare facilities including offices, kitchens, changing rooms, and toilets.
- Remove waste, recycling materials, and industrial rubbish in line with company procedures.
- Respond promptly and safely to spillages, leaks, and other potential hazards.
- Support production teams with cleaning duties and coolant management where required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any stock replenishment requirements.
- Ensure external areas, entrances, and visitor walkways remain clean and presentable.
- Follow cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures at all times.
About You
- Previous cleaning experience within an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or factory environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
