A Dispatch Operative position is available in Wolverhampton with Pertemps Wolverhampton Temps, paying £12.71 per hour on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.
Working within an established engineering company’s Stores and Dispatch team, you will accurately send out engineering products and materials, book tools and stock in and out using the internal control system, unload deliveries, and place stock in designated racking.
The role follows a rotating Monday-to-Friday shift pattern covering 6:00am–2:30pm and 1:00pm–10:00pm.
Suitable candidates will bring prior warehouse or engineering stores experience, a precise approach, and comfort with physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispatch engineering products and materials.
- Book tools, materials and stock in and out using the company's stock control system.
- Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Store stock correctly within designated racking locations.
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and complete all system transactions.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores environment.
- Work independently as well as part of a busy engineering team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within an engineering stores, dispatch or warehouse environment is essential.
- Experience booking tools, materials and stock in and out using a stock control or warehouse management system.
- Strong IT skills with confidence using computer-based inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
- Reliable with a proactive approach to work.
- Able to commute to site for the required shift times.
