The Company: An established Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health consultancy based near Winchester is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its established electrical team. Founded in 1980, the consultancy has around 28 staff and works extensively across London, the Home Counties and the South of England. The business delivers projects ranging from individual homes through to developments exceeding £100m. Residential is a particularly strong area of the business, with the wider portfolio also including commercial, healthcare, education, leisure, industrial and heritage projects.
The Role: As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering electrical building services design across a varied project portfolio. You will be involved in developing designs, coordinating with other disciplines, attending client and site meetings and supporting the successful delivery of projects. The role would suit an experienced engineer who is looking for a long-term opportunity within an established consultancy where development and progression are encouraged. You will also have the opportunity to support and share knowledge with less experienced members of the electrical team.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in electrical building services design
- Relevant degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience within an MEP consultancy or similar design environment
- Strong understanding of electrical building services design
- Experience producing electrical designs, calculations and technical documentation
- Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and Building Regulations
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
- Experience attending client and site meetings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and take responsibility for project delivery
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
