HV Commissioning Engineer9 month contract£600/day - Outside IR35Hertfordshire - site-basedRESPONSIBILITIES:Carry out testing and commissioning of HV electrical equipmentSupport commissioning activities across substations and distribution networksTest switchgear, protection systems and associated electrical plantComplete commissioning procedures, test sheets and technical documentationIdentify faults and resolve commissioning issuesEnsure work complies with approved procedures and safety requirementsLiaise with project managers, engineers and site teamsSupport energisation, handover and completion activitiesSKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:Proven HV testing and commissioning experienceExperience across 11kV, 33kV and/or 132kV networksKnowledge of substation equipment and protection systemsAbility to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentationExperience completing commissioning records and test reportsStrong understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of workCERTIFICATIONS:Relevant HV authorisations and electrical safety qualificationsDESIRABLE:UKPN network experienceProtection and control testing experienceExperience commissioning newly installed substation equipment
