We are recruiting for a Quality Control Engineer to join a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated engineering environment. This role will support the delivery of complex projects by ensuring products, documentation, and supplier activities meet customer, contractual, and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier and manufacturing inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Review and approve quality documentation, including Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Support engineering and project teams in defining quality and inspection requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and manage quality risks, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Attend project reviews, supplier meetings, and customer inspections as required.
- Support tender activities by providing quality-related estimates and technical input.
About You
- Manufacturing apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience within quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of quality documentation, inspection processes, and supplier quality management.
- Experience working within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil & gas, or heavy engineering is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, NDT, mechanical inspection, or assembly/testing activities would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
