We are looking for an experienced Head of Asset Management - Governance & Assurance to provide independent oversight of the Asset Management System, ensuring governance, compliance and assurance arrangements are effective and aligned with organisational objectives and ISO 55001 requirements. This is a senior position with significant influence, providing independent challenge and assurance to Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and define asset management governance frameworks and standards.
- Develop assurance strategies, audit programmes and maturity assessments.
- Monitor the effectiveness and compliance of the Asset Management System.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal requirements.
- Provide independent challenge to investment strategies and asset plans.
- Identify and escalate material governance risks and gaps.
- Support Board and Executive assurance requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and assurance activities.
- Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and promote continuous improvement.
- Establish scalable governance frameworks and methodologies for wider organisational adoption.
About You
Essential:
- Extensive leadership experience across governance, compliance or assurance.
- Experience working within asset-intensive and regulated environments.
- Proven experience developing assurance frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience conducting maturity assessments, audits and governance reviews.
- Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable:
- Experience leading ISO management system audits, particularly ISO 55001.
- Regulatory compliance experience.
- Board governance experience.
- Chartered professional registration.
- IAM Diploma or equivalent qualification.
