The Insolvency Partner role in Birmingham offers a strategic position within a national law firm, carrying a salary between £110,000 and £200,000. This full-time, hybrid-remote appointment seeks an established specialist with a robust market reputation and an existing client following. You will drive practice growth, acting for insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors, and creditors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insolvency Partner to join the Birmingham office of a highly regarded national law firm. This is a strategic hire for a firm looking to further strengthen and grow its insolvency offering in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be an established insolvency specialist with a strong reputation in the market, an existing client following and the commercial drive to develop new opportunities.

The Role:

  • Developing the firm’s insolvency practice, acting for a broad range of clients including insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors, shareholders, companies, creditors and other stakeholders
  • Corporate and personal insolvency
  • Corporate restructuring and turnaround
  • Insolvency litigation and contentious matters
  • Director disqualification and breach of duty claims
  • Preference, transaction at undervalue and antecedent transaction claims
  • Administrations, liquidations and receiverships
  • Creditor and shareholder disputes
  • Advising insolvency practitioners and financial institutions
  • Asset recovery and enforcement
  • Cross-border and complex insolvency matters where appropriate

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be an established Insolvency Partner or senior insolvency lawyer with a strong track record and a demonstrable reputation within the market. Importantly, you will have:

  • A strong existing client following and portable work
  • A proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships
  • An established network of contacts across the insolvency, restructuring, banking and professional services markets
  • Strong technical expertise across contentious and/or non-contentious insolvency
  • Excellent commercial and business development skills
  • The ambition to play a significant role in growing a Birmingham practice
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work strategically within a national law firm
