A secondary school in Walsall, rated Good by Ofsted, seeks a Drama/Music Teacher to join its Performing Arts department starting September 2026. This full-time, long-term role covers Key Stages 3 and 4, paying £175-£250 daily.
Responsibilities
- Teaching practical performance.
- Teaching composition.
- Devising.
- Script interpretation.
- Music appreciation.
- Prepare students for examinations while encouraging collaborative working.
Deliver engaging lessons in both disciplines, fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
Contribute to school productions, concerts, performances, and extracurricular activities that enrich the wider life of the school.
This temporary contract offers a chance to inspire learners in a supportive school environment.
Requirements
- Hold QTS; ECTs are welcome.
- Have experience teaching Drama and/or Music across KS3 and KS4.
- Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment.
- Have a passion for the performing arts and inspiring young people through creativity and performance.
- Be keen to contribute to extracurricular productions, performances, and enrichment opportunities.
Salary & Contract
