Driver Operative in Urmston

Overview

The Driver Operative role based in Trafford involves operating an 18-tonne skip vehicle for commercial customer deliveries and collections.

Working Monday to Friday from 04:00 to 14:00, this temporary position pays up to £14.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an 18-tonne skip vehicle to deliver and collect skips from commercial customer sites.
• Operate a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) to collect commercial waste containers when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all collections and deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and health and safety procedures.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Complete any required paperwork accurately.

Person Specification (Qualifications)

• Valid HGV licence and Driver CPC.
• Previous experience driving a skip vehicle.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle operation.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Experience operating a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) is not required but desirable.
