Turret Punch Operator

Reporting to the production supervisor, the Turret Punch Operator will join a sheet metal fabrication team in Dudley. Working Monday to Friday, 2pm until 10pm, the successful candidate operates turret punch press machinery, loading and unloading sheet metal, setting and adjusting equipment, and interpreting engineering drawings to produce precision components. Duties include inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy, meeting output targets, and keeping the work area safe and tidy in line with health and safety procedures.

This temporary position pays £13.18 per hour.

Turret Operator Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 2pm - 10pm

The Role

• Operating turret punch press machinery
• Loading and unloading sheet metal
• Setting and adjusting machines
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy
• Meeting production targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working area
• Following health & safety and production procedures

The ideal candidate will have

• Previous experience operating a turret punch press or punch press
• Experience within sheet metal or metal fabrication
• The ability to read engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable and hardworking approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing role is highly desirable
