Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Brighton Primary School (Full‑Time)

We are looking for an experienced Year1 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2nd, 2024. The position is full‑time, 8.30am to 3.30pm, with weekly pay of £460 to £500.

Responsibilities

  • Support a large cohort of Year1 pupils in the classroom.
  • Provide targeted 1:1 support as required.
  • Assist the Year1 Teacher and another TA in running lessons and activities.
  • Facilitate learning through class‑based activities and individualized interventions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in Early Years or Key Stage1.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including those needing additional communication, learning or behavioural support.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff.
  • Patience, adaptability and a nurturing approach.

  • Hours: Full‑time, 8.30am – 3.30pm.
