Training Instructor Full-Time | Field-Based | Travel Required

As a Training Instructor based in Derby, you will deliver accredited courses across a designated region, with travel required.

This permanent, field-based role offers a salary of up to £25,276 per annum.

Your primary focus is delivering and assessing health, safety, and workplace programmes, including First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, AED, Mental Health Awareness, and IOSH.

You will ensure all sessions meet awarding body and organisational standards.

Are you a confident and engaging trainer with a passion for developing others£ Brook Street are looking for a professional and motivated Training Instructor to deliver high-quality accredited training courses across a designated geographical area.

The successful candidate will deliver and assess a range of health, safety, and workplace training courses while ensuring all training meets awarding body and organisational standards.

The Role Key responsibilities include

  • Delivering and assessing accredited training courses to the required standards.
  • Delivering a range of courses including First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Mental Health Awareness, IOSH, and other workplace training programmes.
  • Preparing training venues and ensuring all equipment and learning materials are available and fit for purpose.
  • Conducting dynamic risk assessments before and during training sessions.
  • Creating an engaging, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Accurately completing and submitting all course documentation and assessment records.
  • Maintaining training equipment, reporting faults, and ensuring resources are cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Promoting training services and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to maintain high training standards.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of new training initiatives where required.
  • Acting as a designated First Aider.
  • Complying with all health and safety, safeguarding, quality assurance, and organisational policies.

  • Experience delivering accredited training courses.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining subject knowledge.

  • Good IT skills and experience completing electronic documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use (mileage reimbursed), or access to suitable transport.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the assigned geographical area.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Smart, professional appearance and willingness to wear corporate uniform where required.
  • Ability to transport training equipment between venues.
  • Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check.
