Based in Thirsk, this full-time Transport Coordinator role with Pertemps Leeds offers £13.50 per hour on a temp-to-perm basis. Working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, you will join a small transport office supporting a 24/7 logistics operation. The position involves coordinating around 30 drivers, 9 trucks, and 2 shunters.

Your duties include:

  • Assisting the First Line Manager with daily operations
  • Meeting and greeting drivers
  • Completing transport paperwork
  • Providing general administrative support
  • Supporting goods-in and goods-out
  • Dealing with deliveries for the IPM operation based on site
  • Liaising with drivers and other teams across the site
  • Updating information on Microlise Transport Management System
  • Dealing with driver queries and helping resolve any issues
  • Keeping transport records and paperwork accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the wider transport team as required

About you:

You’ll ideally have previous experience in a transport, logistics or supply chain environment and be comfortable working in a busy transport office.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous transport or logistics experience
  • Is confident using computers and transport systems
  • Has experience with Microlise or a similar Transport Management System
  • Is organised and able to keep on top of paperwork
  • Can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Has good communication skills and is comfortable dealing with drivers
  • Is reliable, practical and happy to get stuck in
