Customer Service Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional service to both new and existing customers, resolving queries efficiently, accurately and professionally.
- Contribute to team sales targets and objectives through the selling and servicing of policies, including policy renewals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and exceed expectations, while always acting in the best interests of both the customer and insurer.
- Handle both inbound and outbound customer enquiries and provide a consistently high level of service.
- Support the wider team and department with administrative tasks, including processing post, issuing cover notes, marketing activities and data inputting.
- Process mid-term adjustments and manage renewal invitations across a range of products.
- Ensure all client documentation is issued accurately and internal records are kept fully up to date.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of product developments, market trends and scheme facilities.
- Handle customer complaints and challenging situations professionally, escalating matters where appropriate, including those that may fall under FCA reportable requirements.
- Actively promote additional products and identify opportunities to cross-sell across the company.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role within a regulated environment , such as financial services, insurance or telecommunications.
- Experience within a call centre, insurance claims, account handling, customer service, telesales or sales advisor environment would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft 365 .
- The ability to work accurately, professionally and effectively in a busy customer-focused environment.
