Are you an organised, detail-focused finance and administration professional looking for a flexible temporary opportunity with a small organisation making a real difference£ We are working with a London-based not-for-profit organisation looking for a reliable and proactive Finance andamp; Administrative Assistant to provide essential financial, administrative and operational support to the organisation. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and contribute across finance, administration, governance and day-to-day operations.

About the Role

As Finance andamp; Administrative Assistant, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the organisation. You''ll take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records while also providing administrative support and coordinating a range of operational activities. The role would suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable working independently and enjoys a varied position where no two days are necessarily the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance: Reconcile monthly bank statements and ensure receipts and supporting documentation are maintained.
  • Support external bookkeepers with monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Assist external auditors with the annual financial reporting process.
  • Liaise with payroll providers as required.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to grants.
  • Provide general support with the organisation''s financial records and processes.
  • Administration and Operations: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation and event logistics.
  • Maintain organisational databases and contact management systems.
  • Manage insurance arrangements as required.
  • Support procurement activities and supplier relationships.
  • Assist with governance and compliance requirements, including liaising with external company secretarial providers.
  • Liaise with external pension compliance and IT support providers.
  • Liaise with the website provider and support website development as agreed.
  • Provide general operational support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

About You

We''re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and confident managing a range of responsibilities.

  • Experience in a finance, accounting, administrative or office support role.
  • Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Experience maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience organising meetings and managing administrative processes.
