Nursery Assistant in Sutton

As a Nursery Assistant in Sutton, you will support the daily operations of a nursery setting on a temporary basis, earning £12.71 per hour. Your responsibilities include caring for children’s well‑being, safeguarding their best interests, and educating them through play‑based activities. You will engage fully with each child, supporting their individual needs while working proactively alongside the staff team.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 in Childcare).
• Unqualified with a minimum of 6 months previous experience working in nursery or childcare settings.

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be flexible and adaptable to different nursery environments.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
• Have the ability to use your initiative.
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Show a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Be willing to travel up to 45 minutes from home.
• Have an up to date DBS check on the update system (or be willing to obtain one through Pertemps).
