Intervention Teaching Assistant

The Intervention Teaching Assistant role in Sunderland involves delivering targeted support to pupils from Year 1 through Year 6.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3:30, starting September 2026 and anticipated to continue for the entire academic year.

Key Responsibilities

Providing targeted intervention support to pupils, leading interventions across various age groups, ensuring pupil progress within the primary curriculum, and contributing to the school’s educational objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Relevant teaching assistant or childcare qualification, or demonstrable intervention experience.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Commitment to pupil progress and a can-do attitude.
  • Two satisfactory references covering the last two years.
  • Work Arrangements & Compensation
  • Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
  • Salary: £94.95 per day.
  • Location: Sunderland.
  • Contract commencement: September 2026 for the academic year.
