Essential Skillset:- 10+ years experience in HV Plant Engineering within Transmission & Distribution projects
- Experience working on 132kV, 275kV and 400kV transmission projects
- Strong understanding of substations, transformers, switchgear and associated HV infrastructure
- Proven experience reviewing, assessing and approving contractor design submissions
- Experience working to DNO engineering standards
- Proven experience in leading design review meetings and providing technical ownership on project delivery
- Proven experience in being the primary technical point of contact for HV Plant design
- Experience in supporting HAZID and engineering risk assessments
- Strong stakeholder management skills with clients, contractors and project teams
- Chartered Engineer or working towards professional registration
- Experience producing, reviewing and approving designs for National Grid projects
- Currently hold or previously held National Grid TP141 Design Assurance Engineer authorisation
- Currently hold or previously held National Grid BP137 Contractor Design Approval Engineer
