Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is recruiting a Statutory Meeting Administrator for a public sector client in Leith. This full‑time, temporary position offers £14.51 per hour, involves 36 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working. The role requires producing precise minutes for complex statutory meetings, such as Child and Adult Protection Case Conferences, supporting Social Work teams and partner agencies.

Location: Central Edinburgh (Hybrid). Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 36 hours. Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour. Duration: Temporary ongoing. Start Date: ASAP. A Basic Disclosure check is required post‑acceptance at a £25 cost to the successful candidate.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to provide administrative support, with a focus on producing accurate minutes for complex statutory meetings. You will support Social Work teams and partner agencies across Edinburgh by minute‑taking for meetings including Child Protection Case Conferences, Adult Protection Case Conferences, and Looked After and Accommodated Children’s Reviews. Previous professional minute‑taking experience is essential and must be clearly demonstrated on your CV.

Responsibilities

  • Attend statutory meetings and produce accurate, professional minutes
  • Capture key discussions, decisions, and actions
  • Prepare and distribute meeting documentation, reports, invitations, and minutes
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems
  • Handle confidential information appropriately
  • Liaise with Social Work teams and partner agencies
  • Provide general administrative support as required

Qualifications / Desired Skills

  • Experienced in minute taking within a formal or professional setting
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with sensitive information
  • Able to accurately summarise complex discussions
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads
