Portsmouth Based £43.46 per Umbrella Inside IR356 Month Contract initially. This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based in Portsmouth.
Typical duties include (but are not limited to):
- Providing pre-employment medicals and assessments
- Undertaking health surveillance screening, including audiometry, lung function testing, drug and alcohol testing, HAVS assessments
- Undertaking health screening procedures, including blood pressure and urinalysis
- Ensuring all information recorded appropriately
- Providing advice on occupational health and wellbeing
Knowledge:
- Previous Occupational Health Technician or Physiologist experience is essential
- Ideally your experience will be within the heavy industry sector
- Personable, confident and able to work autonomously
- Proficient IT skills
- Good understanding of the workplace that the individuals are going into, or have come from
Skills:
- Ability to view individuals holistically and look at the impact of health on work and work on health for all
- Decisions about support/care/onward referral are often needed
- Achievement of KPIs and health surveillance compliance
- Assistance with any OH audits and inspections
- SHE Level 2 Plan
- At all times taking into account professional nursing accountability
- Create and maximise effective working relationships with all individuals; customers and stakeholders
- Respond to customer requests and deliver in the best way to meet business and customer requirements
- Seek and review customer feedback and demonstrate a proactive response to it
- Friendly approach
- Professional and positive healthcare and SHE attitude to work
