The company is a leading supplier and service provider of advanced diagnostic imaging equipment across both the veterinary and human healthcare sectors. As the authorised UK service partner for leading medical imaging manufacturers, we install, maintain and support a wide range of sophisticated ultrasound and MRI systems used in veterinary practices, referral centres, NHS Trusts and private hospitals throughout the UK.
They are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join our growing Service Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an electronics background who enjoys problem-solving, working with cutting-edge technology and delivering outstanding customer service. Whether you’re an experienced engineer or currently studying towards an electronics qualification, we’ll provide the training and support needed to develop in this role. The successful candidate must have an HNC / HND or Degree in Electronics or similar with good overall IT skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, will have good interpersonal and communication skills. They must be confident and relaxed when speaking with customers, with the ability to adapt and respond to situations as they arise.

You’ll receive comprehensive in-house training before progressing to manufacturer-certified training programmes in Europe. This role involves regular travel throughout the UK. On completion of the training, the employee will be expected to perform installation, calibration, repair and servicing on a diverse range of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, calibration, servicing and repair of medical imaging equipment
- Visiting customer sites throughout the UK
- Workshop repairs at our Somersham offices
- Providing technical support by telephone and email
- Managing service stock and spare parts
- Preparing service quotations
- Delivering a professional and friendly service to our customers
Skills & Experience:
- HNC, HND or Degree in Electronics (or a similar discipline)
- Good IT skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- A flexible approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- Confidence communicating with customers and building professional relationships
- A full UK driving licence
