Based in Plymouth, this contract role for a Site & QA Manager involves overseeing an external refurbishment programme starting in the Autumn. You will support the Senior Site Manager on a specialist contractor’s project, focusing on facade installation and cladding remediation. Key duties include sub-contractor coordination, conducting health and safety inductions, and performing site surveys. A proven track record in facades is essential. The position offers a competitive rate with a self-employed option available. This long term contract is integral to reshaping Plymouth's landscape, ensuring delivery within safety, budget, and time constraints.
How would you like to play an integral part in re-defining some of Plymouth's landscape? We are in need of a driven an quality focussed Site Manager with a proven track record in facades to oversee an external refurbishment programme commencing in the Autumn. Working for a specialist contractor who has a proven track record in similar schemes, you'll be supporting the Senior Site Manager on the project, (Facade installation & cladding remediation works) and will play a huge part in ensuring that the project is delivered safely and within the prescribed budget and time allocations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sub-contractor engagement and co-ordination
- Health & Safety inductions, checks and site surveys, reviewing the RAMS, compiling H & S packs
- Inspections - reviewing alarms, temporary structures and other aspects of the project under change
- Administration - ensuring site logs and diaries are updated, and that works are accurately documented with the correct QA admin completed
You should have a demonstrable work history reflecting previous experience of external works (EWI, Glazing, Cladding, Rainscreen) nd building remediation works, be used to working within a principal contractor capacity and have a sound and thorough understanding of building control and (ideally) structural warranty standards. You should have good knowledge of MS applications wiht knowledge of MS project an advantage. As this is a site based role, you should also have SMSTS, CSCS, First aid at work with Scaffold awareness/PASMA being desirable.
