Join a world-renowned aerospace organisation as a SHE Lead Advisor Nightshift in Govan. Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a SHE Lead Advisor to add to their talented, hardworking team in Govan on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity, you can ensure no two days will be the same.

The role will support the development and/or deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives for the Naval Ships business. The role will be responsible for providing competent SHE advice, systems and assurance to line leaders/managers, enabling them to successfully manage SHE and to achieve company strategic goals. The role is part of a cross-discipline team of SHE professionals working across the Naval Ships sites to deliver specified packages of work/improvement projects.

The position holder will be required to:

  • Support the development, maintenance and/or deployment of a SHE management system (including objectives, processes and assurance) that meet the requirements of BAE Systems Operational Framework and International SHE Standards (such as ISO45001 and ISO14001) and supports the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Provide competent and comprehensive SHE advice and support to Line Leaders, enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area(s) of responsibility.

Skills:

  • A minimum of five years post-qualification experience in applying health and safety knowledge and processes in work-related situations.
  • One or more of the following QCF/NQF Level 5 (or higher) qualifications: NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; Level 5 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice; Level 6 NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety; Safety, Health Honours Degree (Bachelors or Higher).
