Due to continued investment, this world-renowned business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (Integration, Validation & Verification) to join their growing team in Manchester or Barrow on a 12 month contract. This is a phenomenal opportunity to work with a true leader on some of the biggest challenges and most advanced technologies in the industry.
The Role
Within the role of a Senior Engineer - Systems Engineering (Integration, Validation & Verification), you will play a key role in the development, integration, and verification of advanced control systems for next-generation submarine platforms. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Understanding and interpreting challenging needs and requirements.
- Design and compilation of technical specifications to deliver capabilities in supporting the IV&V strategy.
- Developing, validating and managing requirements designs along with qualification/acceptance activities.
- Integration and test of systems containing electronic, mechanical and software sub-systems, understanding the potential impact on the whole boat and interfacing systems.
- Steering test systems development through implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes.
You
To succeed within the role of a Senior Engineer - Systems Engineering (Integration, Validation & Verification) you'll ideally have the following:
- Degree in a STEM subject (Engineering, Maths, Physics, etc.)
- Proven experience in the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems.
- Skilled in requirements management, systems integration, and testing.
- Able to manage technical deliverables with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder engagement experience.
Please note that due to the security nature of this role, we can only consider those who have lived in the UK in the last 5 years and are eligible for SC security clearance.
