Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established and growing accountancy practice in north west London, which is looking for a Senior Client Advisor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a genuine interest in understanding clients, their businesses and their goals. You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services while building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Supporting clients with tax compliance and general accounting queries.
• Preparing VAT returns and other relevant submissions.
• Providing practical accounting and business advice to clients.
• Identifying opportunities to improve clients' financial processes and performance.
• Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Reviewing work and providing guidance to more junior members of the team.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice to deliver excellent client service.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting principles.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Good knowledge of personal and/or corporation tax.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
• A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, part-qualified status, or be qualified by experience.
