The Senior Civil and Drainage Engineer in Kingston Upon Hull will design, develop, and deliver solutions across civil engineering, drainage, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, external works, and paving.

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a SENIOR CIVIL and DRAINAGE ENGINEER to join our client based in Hull.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
You will design, develop and deliver solutions in civil engineering, drainage, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, external works and also for paving making sure that your work ensures compliance with the relevant industry regulations and current environmental standards.
Projects are varied and will include work for schools and colleges, offices, residential, industrial, petrochemical and energy.
THE CLIENT
Our client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers with a number of UK offices.
THE CANDIDATE
You must have experience of the following
- BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and ideally MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential.
- Around five years experience or more with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers if you are Chartered or if you are still working towards becoming chartered then you will need around eight years or more experience.
- Working towards becoming chartered or must already have chartered status e. g. CEng, MICE, MIStruct E etc.
- Experience in designing and detailing of drainage systems and external works.
- Experience of preparing and submitting S104, S38 and S278 packages.
- Experience producing technical documentation to include Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Impact Assessments.
- Experience of on-site assessments as required.
- Report writing to support planning applications and project delivery.
- Use of Autodesk Auto CAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Info Drainage.
- Ability to manage project fees and costs and sort out resource demands.
- Worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
- Full UK driving licence required along with your own vehicle to attend meetings and get to sites, some of which may be fairly remote.
