The Senior Architectural Technician position in Birmingham offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role involves acting as a technical advisor for public sector and Ministry of Justice projects, with a focus on technical governance, compliance, and client liaison.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical briefs, tender documentation, and performance specifications.
- Review contractor proposals and technical design information.
- Produce concept and tender stage drawing packages where required.
- Undertake site visits and inspections across the South East.
- Act as the technical representative for the client throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards, and technical performance criteria.
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions and resolve design and construction queries.
Requirements
- Qualified Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician, or Technical Architect.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction.
- Experience preparing technical drawing packages and specifications.
- Confident client-facing with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to challenge technical proposals and make informed decisions.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
- Revit and/or Auto CAD experience.
