An SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School is needed in East Sussex to join a school in Bexhill from September.

This full‑time, contract role offers £100‑£105 per day via PAYE and involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition.

Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism.
  • Support pupils both in the classroom and around the school.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help students develop independence, communication and social skills.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people in school, SEN, care, youth work or similar settings.
  • Understanding of autism and additional learning needs (experience desirable but not essential).
  • Patience, resilience and compassion.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to helping every student succeed.
