Job Summary
This SEN Teacher post in Birmingham offers a daily rate of £185–£250 on a full-time basis. Working within a dedicated special school, you will lead a small primary class of pupils presenting complex requirements, including Autism. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for children with a range of complex learning needs.
- Teach a small class of primary aged pupils, with support from skilled teaching assistants.
- Work closely with the wider school team to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom that supports communication, independence, and social development.
- Make learning fun, engaging and interactive for pupils, as the leadership believes that the school should be a special place for every child.
- Contribute to the wider school community and the whole-child approach to education.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher holding QTS.
- Prior experience with children with complex needs and Autism.
- A genuine commitment to Special Educational Needs teaching.
- Approach that is supportive, compassionate, consistently positive, and has a smile for every child.
- Ability to collaborate with skilled assistants and adapt lessons to individual needs.
