Role: School Lunch Assistant
Location: Edinburgh
Pay: £13.66 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday (typically 10:00–14:00)
Contract: Part‑time, temporary, term‑time
Start date: Beginning of August 2026
Responsibilities
- Help prepare and serve tasty, nutritious school meals
- Provide friendly, helpful service to pupils and staff
- Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and safe
- Work in a supportive and welcoming team
Qualifications
- Approachable, dependable team player
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (helpful but not essential)
- Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods
- PVG Certificate required (new: £59, renewal: £18)
