History Teacher Key Details
- Position: QTS / ECT History Teacher
- Location: Warwickshire
- School: Outstanding Grammar School

- Contract: Long-term supply
- Salary: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)
- Key Stages: KS3 – KS5
Responsibilities
- Teach History across KS3 to KS5, delivering engaging and academically challenging lessons that develop students’ historical knowledge, analytical skills, critical thinking, and understanding of significant events and periods.
- Support students in making strong progress while preparing them for GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Uphold high academic expectations while encouraging students to question evidence, develop well-reasoned arguments, and engage critically with the past.
Qualifications / Experience
- Hold QTS or be an ECT.
- Have experience teaching History across KS3 to KS5.
- Be confident delivering the secondary History curriculum.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and analytical skills.
- Have strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a genuine passion for History and inspiring young people.
