We are recruiting for a Class 2 Driver on a temp to perm basis to join our client''s busy transport operation in Rochester.
This role involves night-time multidrop deliveries of car parts to dealerships and automotive customers across designated routes, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Our client is a third‑party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding andamp; Full truckload transport.
The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete night-time multidrop deliveries of car parts to dealerships and automotive customers.
- Carry out an average of 12-14 deliveries per day within similar postcode areas.
- Operate your vehicle safely and in line with company and legal requirements.
- Use a pallet truck to unload pallets when a customer forklift operator is unavailable.
- Use handheld scanners and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance and roadworthiness.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Newly qualified drivers welcome if they show the right attitude and potential.
- No more than 6 penalty points and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
- Good knowledge of the UK road network.
- ADR qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Reliable, professional, and customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule.
