The Role: Supporting young people (16-25 years) in a Key Worker role. Providing and updating action plans and risk assessments. Actively offering young people in supported accommodation encouragement to achieve dreams. Being part of an onsite team supporting young residents with their living needs. Ensuring young people are supported in developing life skills to be able to move into the community. Lead and support group activities as part of our learning program, forming a sense of community and engagement.
The Candidate will need:
- Driven to find solutions in supporting young people with a range of backgrounds.
- An understanding of young people’s needs and interests, allowing appropriate action plans to be made.
- A passion for providing immediate care and support for young people with safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues.
- Having a resilient and flexible nature when dealing with others.
- Being able to work under pressure while producing support plans and meeting deadlines.
- Happy to work alone or in a team environment.
- A positive, creative approach, with a can-do attitude whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- To hold a valid driving licence.
SUMMARY: This Youth Development Worker role is being offered on a full time, Temporary basis. Working hours to 37 a week, hour patterns between 8am-10pm. An enhanced DBS adult and child needs to be already held.
