The Recruitment Administrator position is based in Shiremoor, supporting Northern Powergrid’s People Services team on a temporary 4-month contract.

This full-time role involves 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with a salary between £13.48 and £13.83 per hour.

You will provide administrative support throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including managing vacancy requests, coordinating interview schedules, processing offer documentation, and maintaining accurate candidate records.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with office software are essential for this role.

Previous experience in HR or recruitment administration is beneficial but not required.

Recruitment Administrator – Temporary 4-Month Contract Northern Powergrid | Shiremoor | Office Based | Monday–Friday | 37 hours per week We are actively recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to join the People Services team at Northern Powergrid on a temporary 4-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational and administrative skills who is interested in developing their experience within recruitment and HR.

The role is fully office based at Northern Powergrid’s Shiremoor location, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week , and is available to start as soon as possible .

Key Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support across the recruitment process, including:

  • Creating and managing vacancy requisitions and job adverts on the recruitment system and external platforms.
  • Assisting with the screening of applications and supporting the recruitment team throughout the selection process.
  • Organising candidate assessments and interviews, including scheduling appointments for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating the Oracle requirements project tracker.
  • Providing general administrative support to the People Services team and ensuring recruitment activity is managed efficiently and accurately.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfortable working with recruitment systems, databases and Microsoft Office.
  • A clear and professional communicator who enjoys working with people.
  • Able to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous recruitment, HR or administration experience would be advantageous.
