The Start-up&Events Coordinator position in Reading is a full‑time, permanent role offering £28,000–£30,000 per annum, with hybrid working available following probation.
The role blends customer support, administration, training coordination, and event management.
You will be the primary contact for clients, guiding them through their journey while organizing training programs, career events, and networking sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.
Guide customers through the application process, ensuring all required documentation is received.
Review applications for accuracy and liaise with customers to obtain outstanding information.
Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor customer applications.
Coordinate training sessions, venues, trainers, and delegates; prepare training materials, joining instructions, and programme documentation.
Organise and attend career fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
Coordinate event logistics, including venues, suppliers, and delegate communications.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Produce reports, maintain databases, and provide general administrative support.
Support the team with adhoc duties and work toward agreed service standards and KPIs.
About You
Organised, enthusiastic, and enjoys working with people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional telephone manner.
Prior experience in administration, customer service, or front‑of‑house/reception roles.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive, positive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable: Experience coordinating events, training programmes, or projects.
Desirable: Exposure to funding, finance, grants or loan application processes.
Desirable: Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or Salesforce.
