Overview
A Nursecall Field Engineer is required to join a leading healthcare technology provider, covering the South of England from a Reading base.
This full-time, permanent role offers a salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, the role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing digital nurse call systems and fall prevention technology across care homes.
Travel is across Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Kent, Devon and surrounding areas as required.
Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain nurse call systems and related fall prevention technology in care homes.
- Perform fault finding, diagnostics and software/firmware updates on nurse call systems and associated IT components.
- Install and test peripherals, display screens, call points and data cables (CAT5e/CAT6) as required.
- Provide on-site training on system functionality and translate technical terms for non-technical staff.
- Racking and patching IT equipment in data cabinets; assist with network-related tasks and Wi‑Fi issues where applicable.
- Travel as needed within the defined regional coverage; occasionally work beyond the region if required, with reasonable notice.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence.
- DBS Basic Disclosure (CRB) or equivalent.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK (employer does not sponsor).
- Experience with wireless nurse call systems (e. g., Medicare Systems, Courtney Thorne, ARM) is preferred; wired nurse call experience is also acceptable.
- Experience with fire alarms or other addressable call systems is desirable.
- Technical literacy with modern technology, including Android, basic IP addressing/networking and Windows; ability to troubleshoot Windows-related network issues and software updates.
