In Reading, Berkeley‑Scott is looking for a General Assistant on a temporary contract starting September to support agency catering teams across local schools and food service providers.
Pay: £14.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Supporting kitchen teams with food preparation and basic catering duties.
- Serving food and assisting customers where required.
- Keeping kitchens and service areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Washing up and helping maintain a smooth‑running operation.
- Providing reliable support as a general assistant across a variety of venues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or as a general assistant is beneficial but not essential.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Two professional references.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, although this is not essential.
